About the car: Audi Q7 4L (first generation)
The Audi Q7 4L is the first generation of the Q7, internal code 4L, built from November 2005 to 2015 on the Volkswagen Group PL71 platform. It has a 5-door SUV body. The facelift was presented in 2009, at Pebble Beach, and brought headlights and tail lights with more LED.
The Q7 in this post has raised, silver roof rails, and the roof bars fix onto them. On this type of roof rails, the box fixes to the roof bars, not directly to the roof.
What we fitted on this Audi Q7 4L
The Menabo Tiger Silver XL roof bars are 1,350 mm long, 28 mm high and 48 mm wide. They have a 20 mm T-track for the T-bolt fitting along their whole length, a lock and a maximum load of 75 kg. The set contains 2 aluminium bars, 4 feet and the Allen key, with no other tools needed.
The Menabo Diamond 500 White is glossy white, with 500 litres of volume and 75 kg capacity. It weighs 19.6 kg, opens on one side, has a built-in lock and fixes with the 20 mm T-bolt Quick Fix system.

Technical details and what to watch for
