About the car: Citroen C1 first generation (2005-2014)

The first-generation Citroen C1, internal code PM/PN, was built from June 2005 to 2014 as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback. The cars were made at the TPCA plant in Kolin, Czech Republic, a Toyota-Peugeot-Citroen joint venture. The model is almost identical to the Peugeot 107 and the Toyota Aygo; it differs from the 107 only in the front bumper, headlights and tail lights. It had two facelifts, in January 2009 and March 2012.

The car in the photo is a yellow C1 with a glass tailgate and round tail lights, and its roof has no roof rails. The aluminium roof bars attach directly to the body, so the kit must match this type of fixing. Without roof rails, the bars are the starting point for any accessory, and their 50 kg capacity limits what you can fit on them.

Menabo Tema aluminium roof bars are 1,120 mm long, 48 mm wide and 30 mm high, and weigh 4.9 kg. The profile is oval, and on top they have a 20 mm T-track for accessories with a T fitting. The set includes 2 bars, 4 fitting kits for the Citroen C1 5-door, 2005-2014, 4 feet, 4 locks with keys and an Allen key.

Accessories without a T fitting are fitted with the U-bolt fitting on the outside of the bar. Fitting needs no special tools, only the Allen key in the pack.

Technical details and what to watch for

The bars carry 50 kg; the weight of any accessory fitted on them is deducted from this capacity.
The 20 mm T-track on top takes accessories with a T fitting. For accessories with a U-bolt fitting, the fixing goes on the outside of the bar.
The roof bars are TÜV and ISO tested, and the set includes 4 lock cylinders with keys.
The fitting kit is for the Citroen C1 5-door, 2005-2014; before fitting, check that your car has 5 doors.
The instruction manual is included in the box. After fitting, tighten all the fittings firmly and check that the bars do not move before loading anything on them.
