Menabo Tema steel roof bars for Citroen C5 Mk1, fitted in our showroom

On a Citroen C5 (Mk1) we fitted a set of Menabo Tema steel roof bars, in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Citroen C5 (Mk1), 2000-2007

The first-generation Citroen C5 (Mk1) was produced from 2000 to 2007 on the PSA PF3 platform. Production began in late 2000, and in September 2004 the model received a major facelift, with a new front and rear and the same centre section.

The car in this fitting has no roof rails, so the roof bars sit directly on the roof, at the edge. The Menabo Tema feet attach to the door frame with claws, and this type of fixing to the body is what holds the bars on the roof.

What we fitted on this Citroen C5

We fitted the Menabo Tema Steel roof bars for Citroen C5 (Mk1). The bars have an oval, aerodynamic profile, are 1,300 mm long, 48 mm wide and 30 mm high, and the metal parts have rubberised anti-corrosion paint.

On Menabo Tema bars you can fit bike racks, roof boxes, ski racks or canoe and kayak carriers, all with a U-bolt fitting around the outside of the bar. For a bike, first attach the rack to the bar, then secure the bike on the rack.

• The set has 2 steel bars, 1,300 mm long, 30 mm high and 48 mm wide, and 4 feet with fitting kits.
• The maximum load is 50 kg. The weight of the fitted accessory is deducted from this figure.
• The weight of the system is 5.8 kg, so take it into account when calculating the load on the roof.
• The bars have no T-track on top, so accessories are fixed with the U-bolt fitting.
• The set includes 4 lock cylinders with keys, so you can secure the bars on the car.
• The height of the car increases with the bars and with the accessories fitted. Keep this in mind at underground car parks or under barriers.
• The instruction manual is included in the box.
