This Dacia Duster 2 (HM) left our showroom with Menabo Brio roof bars and a Menabo Marathon Dark 460 roof box. We did the fitting in the SuportBicicleta.ro shop at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Dacia Duster 2 (HM), 2017-2024
The Duster HM is the second generation of the model and was built on the Dacia B0+ platform, as a 5-door crossover SUV. The first cars reached Romania in November 2017, after the presentation at Frankfurt in September, and production for Europe ended in 2024. The facelift version went on sale in September 2021. In the Menabo catalogue you will find the roof bars for this model listed as Duster III 2018-2023.
For a roof fitting, the important detail is that the Duster HM has raised factory roof rails. The 2018 Dacia brochure shows them in black on Essential and Comfort and with a satin chrome look on Prestige. The Brio roof bars are tightened directly onto these roof rails, with their vehicle-specific feet. The 75 kg roof limit, from the same brochure, is the reference for everything you put up there.
What we fitted on this Duster 2
The first step was the the Menabo Brio roof bars for the Dacia Duster 2018-2023. They are 1,200 mm long, made of silver aluminium and have a 14 mm track along the whole length. The 4 feet come already fitted on the bars, so you take them out of the box, place them on the roof rails and tighten them with the Allen key included. They also have an anti-theft lock and comply with DIN 75302.
On the roof bars we placed the Menabo Marathon Dark 460 roof box, the 460 litre version, in matt black. The box is made of ABS plastic, has an anti-theft lock and opens on one side. Its data sheet lists it as compatible with Menabo Brio roof bars, and for fitting you have both the 60 mm U-bolt fitting and the 20 mm T-track fitting in the package.

Technical details and what to watch for
- Menabo Brio roof bars: aluminium, 1,200 x 48 x 28 mm, 14 mm track, 4 pre-assembled feet, anti-theft lock, maximum 90 kg.
- Menabo Marathon Dark 460 box: 460 litres, matt black ABS, length class 180-200 cm, package of 195 x 79 x 36 cm.
- On the Duster II, the 75 kg roof limit in the 2018 Dacia brochure is lower than the capacity of the bars, so from the 75 kg you subtract the bars and the box, and only then the luggage.
- The box adds about 36 cm and the bars 28 mm, so allow almost 39 cm above the roof rails, plus the fittings, when you enter garages or car parks.

The Menabo Marathon Dark 460 roof box is fitted on roof bars, according to the product data sheet, and on the Dacia Duster II (HM) the Menabo Brio roof bars attach to the factory roof rails.
