Menabo Tiger Silver XL roof bars for the Fiat 500X (first generation)

We fitted a set of Menabo Tiger Silver XL roof bars on a Fiat 500X in the SuportBicicleta.ro shop in Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania. The set attaches to the car's integrated roof rails and contains everything you need for fitting.

About the car: Fiat 500X (first generation)

The Fiat 500X is a 5-door SUV built on the Small Wide 4x4 platform and closely related to the Jeep Renegade. It was produced from 2014 to 2024, and the model debuted at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The Fiat 500X and the Jeep Renegade are both built at the SATA plant in Melfi, Italy.

The car in the post has integrated flush roof rails, and the Menabo Tiger roof bars attach to them, as you can see in the photo. On this type of roof, the roof bars are fitted onto the roof rails, not directly onto the roof, which is why the set includes the feet for flush roof rails.

What we fitted on this Fiat 500X

We fitted the Menabo Tiger Silver XL roof bars for the Fiat 500X 2015+. The set has 2 aluminium bars, 1,350 mm long, 28 mm high and 48 mm wide, plus 4 pre-assembled feet. An Allen key is also included, so no other tool is needed.

The oval aero profile helps reduce noise and drag. You can fit roof boxes, a bike rack, a ski rack or a kayak & canoe roof rack on the Tiger roof bars. The roof bars are TÜV tested and meet DIN 75302, and the set has an anti-theft lock.

Technical details and what to watch for

• The load capacity of the roof bars is 75 kg, including the weight of the accessories. If you fit a 15 kg box, 60 kg remain for luggage.
• The maximum load can differ by car make and model, so also check the technical data from the car manufacturer.
• The height of the car increases with accessories fitted. Measure the total height, with the luggage, before entering underground car parks or going under barriers.
• The 20 mm T-track along the full length of the bar lets you fix T-bolt accessories directly.
• Fitting is done with the Allen key in the package, and the instruction manual is included too. Follow the steps in the manual for correct, quick fitting.
• The set includes 4 pre-assembled feet for roof rails, so you do not need to buy extra parts.
