About the car: Hyundai Elantra 6th generation (AD)
The Hyundai Elantra AD is the 6th generation of the model, built between 2015 and 2020 and offered only as a 4-door saloon. It was first launched in South Korea, as the Avante, in September 2015, and the design became closer to a fastback, with the roof sloping towards the rear and pentagonal headlights.
The roof of this generation has no factory roof rails, so the roof bars are fitted directly onto the bodywork. This matters when choosing the set: the Menabo Omega bars have a fitting designed specifically for this car. The facelift launched in South Korea on 6 September 2018 changed the rear, with redesigned rear lights.
What we fitted on this Elantra
The set we used is Menabo Omega Aluminium for Hyundai Elantra VI (AD), 4-door, 2016+, with 2 aluminium bars, 4 fittings and 4 feet. Each bar is 1,300 mm long, 28 mm high and 47 mm wide. Fitting is done with the Allen key from the package.
On top, the bars have a 20 mm T-track for accessories with a T-track fitting. With the classic U-bolt fitting, you can fix accessories around the outside of the bar. The set has a maximum load of 50 kg, is TÜV and ISO approved and weighs 4.5 kg.

Technical details and what to watch for
- The maximum load of the bars is 50 kg, but the value can differ from one car to another. Check the limit in the car manufacturer's specifications.
- The package includes 4 fittings and 4 feet, and the Allen key is the only tool needed, so you do not have to buy extra accessories for fitting.
- Accessories fitted on the bars increase the total height of the car, so check the height before entering a garage or a car park.
- The instruction manual is included in the package; for correct and quick fitting, follow the steps in it.
- An anti-theft lock can be added as an optional extra, item no. 000084800000, because it is not included in the set.
