About the car: Hyundai i30 third generation (PD)

The third-generation Hyundai i30, code PD, has been built since December 2016. This generation comes as a 5-door hatchback, a 5-door estate (i30 Wagon) and the Fastback (5-door liftback). There is no 3-door version. Hyundai announced in 2017 that the Fastback would be available in Europe before 2018.

On the Fastback, the bars are fitted directly to the car body, as described in the product description. The Fastback roof is 25 mm lower than that of the 5-door hatchback, a detail to take into account for the total height. The set is Menabo Tema Aluminium roof bars for Hyundai i30 (PD) Fastback, 5-door, 2016+. The bars are 1,120 mm long, 30 mm high and 48 mm wide, and the set includes 2 bars, 4 fixing systems, 4 feet and 4 anti-theft locks.

According to the product description, the oval profile of the bars is aerodynamic, and the metal parts are treated with rubberised paint and an anti-corrosion coating. Accessories without a T-bolt fitting can be secured with the U-bolt fitting around the outside of the bar.
