About the car: Hyundai Ioniq AE, facelift version
The Hyundai Ioniq is a 5-door, C-segment liftback built on Hyundai's Eco-Car platform. The first generation, with the code AE, was built between 2016 and 2022, and production of the hybrid version ended in July 2022. The facelift was shown in January 2019, with a cascading mesh grille, and the Hybrid and Plug-in versions were sold in Europe from the second half of 2019. This is the first-generation Ioniq, not the Ioniq 5 or Ioniq 6.
As a liftback, the Ioniq has a tailgate, and the Menabo Biki rack attaches to it. Before fitting, clean the tailgate so that the contact surfaces grip the car's glass as well as possible. The rack must be used within its maximum load, and fitting is done according to the instructions in the package.

We fitted the the Menabo Biki bike rack, a model for 3 bikes, mounted on the tailgate or boot lid. The rack is made of steel, weighs 4 kg and folds. It attaches at 6 points on the bodywork, and the bikes are secured by the frame.
The bikes touch each other on this rack, so it is worth protecting the frames. The Biki is compatible with fat bikes, but not with e-bikes. For electric bikes (e-bikes) you can look at the towbar-mounted bike racks category and check on each model's page whether it accepts this type of bike.
