About the car: Jeep Compass, second generation (MP/552, from 2016)

The second-generation Jeep Compass was first shown on 27 September 2016 in Brazil and uses a stretched version of the Renegade platform. The models for Europe are built in Melfi, Italy, and a facelift was launched in China first, in 2020.

The Longitude version in our fitting has black factory roof rails on the roof, and the Menabo box sits on roof bars fitted across them. The type of roof matters: for a roof box you need roof bars that clamp onto the roof rails, and this car already has factory roof rails.

What we fitted on this Jeep Compass

The Menabo Mania 460 ABS White holds 460 litres and is made of glossy white ABS plastic. It has a lock and opens on one side. Fitting uses the quick-fit system, with no special tools needed to attach the box to the roof bars.

The box holds 460 litres and is made of glossy white ABS plastic.
The maximum load is 75 kg, and the empty box weighs 20.2 kg.
The fitting includes a 60 mm U-bolt and a 20 mm T-bolt; the 80 mm U-bolt fitting is optional.
The box opens on one side and has a lock.
The box adds height to the car, on top of the height of the roof bars. Check the total height with the box fitted before you drive into a car park with a height barrier or a garage.
