The Cee'd SW is the estate version of the first-generation Kia Cee'd, with the internal code ED. The range was built between 2006 and 2012, and the estate version (Sporty Wagon) was launched in mid-2007. The facelift was presented in September 2009, in Frankfurt.

Technical details and what to watch for

Before fitting, check that the car has a towbar in good condition and a working electrical socket. Without the electrical socket, the rack's lights cannot be powered.

After loading the bikes, check that the number plate and rear lights stay visible.
After the first kilometres, check that the fixings are tight and the position of the rack on the towbar, especially after hard braking or bumpy roads.
