Kia Niro 2016+ with Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bars, fitted in our showroom

On the Kia Niro 2016+ we fitted a set of Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bars, in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom in Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania. The set is designed for the integrated roof rails in the roof of the car.

About the car: Kia Niro 2016+ (first generation)

The first-generation Kia Niro, with the internal code DE, was built between 2016 and 2022. It is a 5-door SUV that uses the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq. The hybrid version was presented at the Chicago Auto Show in 2016, and the second generation was presented in November 2021. The fitting photo shows silver integrated roof rails in the roof, with the feet of the Lince bars attached to them.

The roof type matters when choosing roof bars. Integrated roof rails sit flush against the roof, so the fitting system has to be made for them, not for roof bars that stand on feet. The Lince set includes the feet for the roof rails, and the roof bars have a 20 mm T-track channel for accessories.

What we fitted on this Kia Niro

We fitted the the Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bar set for the Kia Niro 2016+. The bars are made of aluminium and measure 1,350 mm in length, 80 mm in width and 30 mm in height. The aerodynamic wing-shaped profile helps reduce noise, and the set is TÜV approved and ISO/PAS 11154:2006 tested.

The bars carry 90 kg. Accessories that fit on them, such as a bike rack, ski rack or roof box, are attached with the T-track fitting in the 20 mm channel. The set has 4 locks and an Allen key, so you need no other tool.
