On a 4th-generation Kia Sportage QL we fitted Menabo Tiger Silver roof bars with a gloss grey Fabbri Nova 430 roof box on top. The work was done in our SuportBicicleta.ro shop at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Kia Sportage QL (4th generation)
The Kia Sportage QL is the 4th generation, built from September 2015 until 2021. It was shown to the public in Frankfurt in September 2015 and reached showrooms in 2016. The body is a 5-door, 5-seat crossover with a self-supporting steel structure, and in 2018 the European version received a facelift built in Zilina.
On the roof, this Sportage QL has silver roof rails. The Menabo Tiger roof bars clamp onto the rail-type roof rails with no door-frame kit, and the 175 cm roof box is then fixed on them. We do not have the maximum roof load for the QL from a verified official manual, so check it in the car's owner's manual.
What we fitted on this Sportage QL
On the roof rails we fixed Menabo Tiger Silver roof bars for Kia Sportage (QL) 2016+: two 1,200 mm aluminium bars with an oval profile, 28 mm tall and 48 mm wide, a maximum load of 75 kg and lock cylinders. The 20 mm T-track channel runs the full length, and the set is TÜV and ISO/PAS 11154 tested and complies with DIN 75302.
On top we fitted Fabbri Nova 430 Grey roof box, made of gloss grey ABS, with 430 litres and a maximum load of 75 kg. The outside dimensions are 175x80x44 cm, it fits with 80 mm U-bolt fittings, and the Allen keys for fitting are in the box. The box is lockable, opens on one side and is TÜV and City Crash tested. The product sheet lists it as compatible with Menabo Tiger roof bars.

Specifications and useful tips
- The Menabo Tiger roof bars have a maximum load of 75 kg, from which you subtract the weight of the Fabbri Nova 430 itself (see the product sheet); the rest is your luggage limit.
- The roof load in the Sportage QL's owner's manual remains the final limit if it is lower.
- The Fabbri Nova 430 fits with 80 mm U-bolt fittings, and the product sheet states that no adapter is needed.
- The box is 44 cm tall: add that to the height of the car and the roof bars before underground car parks or car washes.
- The Fabbri Nova 430 opens on the right-hand side and has an integrated lock.
- Fitting instructions for the Fabbri Nova 430 are in a PDF on the product sheet; for the Tiger roof bars the manual comes in the box.
