The Mazda CX-3 has the model code DK and is a 5-door SUV, built on the same platform as the third-generation Mazda2. On the European market you find models from 2016-2021, and sales in Europe stopped in December 2021. A minor facelift came in 2018.
In the fitting in this post, the roof has no roof rails, and the black steel roof bars rest on feet fixed to the body. For a 320 L box, the limit that counts is that of the bars: 50 kg, which is less than the 55 kg of the box.
What we fitted on this Mazda CX-3
The Menabo Omega Steel roof bars for Mazda CX-3, 5-door, 2015+ has a length of 1,120 mm, a height of 22 mm and a width of 32 mm. The steel bars have no 20 mm T-track, so accessories are fitted with U-bolt fittings around the outside of the bar. The set comes with 4 fitting kits, 4 feet and an Allen key, and the approvals are TÜV and ISO.
On the bars we fitted the Carbon Look 320L roof box, black, 131x77x34cm. The box has an 80 mm U-bolt fitting, a lock and opens on one side. It is compatible with Menabo Omega Steel bars. You will find the fitting instructions below as a PDF.

Technical details and what to watch for
- The box has a capacity of 320 L, an external length of 131 cm and an external height of 34 cm, with a load capacity of 55 kg.
- The bars carry 50 kg in total. The weight of the empty box is deducted from this limit, so less is left for luggage.
- The box has an anti-theft lock and opens on one side.
- The bar set comes with an Allen key, so no other tools are needed.
- Before car parks with a height barrier or low garages, check the total height of the car with the box on the roof.
