We equipped a Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 saloon with a set of Menabo Tema Steel roof bars, fixed with a vehicle-specific kit to the fixed points on the roof. The fitting was done at our SuportBicicleta.ro showroom, which is at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 saloon
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 saloon, the third generation of the C-Class, was built between March 2007 and March 2014. The facelift was officially presented in 2011, at the Detroit Auto Show. The generation also included the S204 estate and the C204 Coupé.
What matters for the bars is that the W204 saloon has no roof rails. The roof has fixed anchor points hidden under covers, and the Mercedes-Benz manual requires the bars to be fixed only at these points. The maximum roof load is 100 kg. With the bars fitted, the sunroof, the panoramic roof and the boot lid must open fully, so we chose a kit made for the 4-door W204.
What we fitted on this Mercedes C W204
On this saloon we fitted the Menabo Tema Steel roof bars for Mercedes C (W204), 4-door, 2007-2013. Tema is a well-established range from the Italian maker Menabo, made for cars without roof rails. The steel bars have an oval, aerodynamic profile of 30 x 48 mm, are wrapped in a protective plastic layer, and all the metal parts have a rubberised coating and anti-corrosion treatment.
The set contains 2 bars of 1,120 mm, 4 feet, 4 fitting kits for the W204, 4 locks with keys and an Allen key, the only tool needed. If you want to carry a bike on the roof, choose a rack with the classic U-bolt fitting, which tightens around the outside of the bar; Tema Steel has no T-track on top. The set is TÜV and ISO approved.

Tips for a bike rack on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204
- Bar specifications: 1,120 mm long, 30 mm high, 48 mm wide, black steel, set weight 5.3 kg.
- Load calculation: the bars carry 75 kg. If you fit bike racks, the weight of the racks and the bikes adds up and must stay under 75 kg.
- W204 roof: 75 kg on the bars plus 5.3 kg for the set make 80.3 kg, under the 100 kg limit given by Mercedes.
- Fitting accessories: U-bolt fitting only; first check that the arm of the rack fits around the 30 x 48 mm profile.
- Where to fit the rack: on a saloon, a bike rack placed closer to the edge of the roof is easier to load than one in the middle.
