The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe has the chassis code C167. The W167/C167 generation has been built since October 2018 and is part of the 4th-generation GLE, presented at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. This version is a 5-door coupe SUV, and in January 2023 the model received a facelift for model year 2024. The previous coupe generation was coded C292.

The post is from July 2021, long before the 2023 facelift. In the photo, the white GLE Coupe has narrow LED rear lights that extend onto the tailgate, the 4MATIC badge and the rack fitted on the towbar. On the towbar, the type of roof does not matter, because the rack does not attach to the roof. What matters for fitting is the towbar, the tailgate and the electrical socket.

What we fitted on this GLE Coupe

We fitted the Menabo Alcor 4 towbar bike rack for 4 bikes. The rack weighs 24 kg and carries 60 kg in total, and each bike can weigh up to 25 kg. It is compatible with e-bikes and fat bikes.

Technical details and what to watch for

The package measures 120 x 21.5 x 120 cm, so check your storage space before buying.
13/7-pin electrical plug: the rack's rear lights connect through it, so check your car's socket before fitting.
