About the car: Mitsubishi Outlander second generation (CW/ZG/ZH)

The second-generation Mitsubishi Outlander, with the codes CW, ZG and ZH, was built between 2006 and 2012 on the Mitsubishi GS platform. The model reached Europe in February 2007, and at the end of 2009 it received a major facelift, for model year 2010. The car in the photo is pre-facelift, with rounded headlights and a chrome V-shaped grille.

The second-generation Outlander has factory raised roof rails with a gap underneath. The roof bars fit onto these, and the box attaches to the roof bars. Before you set off, check the height of the car with the box fitted, especially in car parks with a barrier.

What we fitted on this Outlander

We fitted the the Menabo Marathon Dark 460 roof box, with 460 litres, in matt black. The box opens on one side and suits bags, trolley cases and other travel luggage. It has an anti-theft lock, so your luggage is protected when you park.

It attaches with 60 mm U-bolts and 20 mm T-track fittings, both included in the pack, so no adapter is needed. The box is compatible with several types of roof bars, including Menabo Delta, Thule SlideBar and Yakima ThruBar.
