Nissan Pathfinder R51 with Menabo Profile M roof bars and a Diamond 500 White roof box

About the car: Nissan Pathfinder R51 (third generation)

The Nissan Pathfinder R51 is the third generation of the model, built from August 2004 to 2014, with a facelift in 2010 for Europe. It has 5 doors and factory raised roof rails with the PATHFINDER lettering, visible in the photos of the fitting.

What we fitted on this Nissan Pathfinder

The Menabo Profile M set has 2 aluminium roof bars, 1,180 mm long, with an oval section and a full-length 20 mm T-track. It comes with 4 feet with locks and is fitted with an Allen key. It is for the Nissan Pathfinder (R51), 2005-2012 model: Menabo Profile M aluminium roof bars for the Nissan Pathfinder (R51), 2005-2012 model.

On top of the bars we fitted the Menabo Diamond 500 White box, glossy white, with a volume of 500 litres. Technical details and what to watch for

• Bars: length 1,180 mm, height 27 mm, width 54 mm, maximum load 75 kg, TÜV tested and compliant with DIN 75302.
• Useful calculation: the empty box weighs 19.6 kg. From the 75 kg limit of the bars, about 55 kg remains for luggage.
• T-track: the bars have a 20 mm T-track, the same as the T-track fitting of the box, so the fixing is the same size.
• Height: the box is 36.6 cm high on the outside, so check the height limit of underground car parks or barriers with the box fitted.
• Anti-theft: the bars have locks, the box has a built-in lock, and it opens on one side only.
• Approvals: the Diamond box is TÜV tested and City Crash tested.
