About the car: Opel Combo E Life (2018+)
The Opel Combo E has the code K9 and has been built since 2018 on the PSA EMP2 platform. The Combo Life version has a 5-door LAV body, rear side windows and a sliding door, and the length of the whole range varies between 4,400 and 4,750 mm, depending on the version.
The Combo E has no factory roof rails, so the roof bars fix directly to the body, with a fitting system made for the car. On a 5-door Combo Life, fitting depends on the right roof bar kit and on the accessories that fix to it.
What we fitted on this Opel Combo E Life
We fitted the K39 - K1 steel roof bars for Opel Combo (E), 2018+. They are 1,120 mm long, 20 mm high and 30 mm wide, made of black steel with a protective plastic coating, and the metal parts have rubberised paint to protect against corrosion.
The set has 2 steel roof bars, 4 fixings, 4 feet and an Allen key, and the roof bars are TÜV and ISO certified. The roof bars have no T-track on top and no lock, so accessories must have the classic U-bolt fitting of at least 30 mm.

Technical details and what to watch for
- K39 - K1 roof bars carry 75 kg; the maximum load may differ depending on the car make and model, so check the specifications given by the car manufacturer.
- The roof bars weigh 3.5 kg, and the weight of the accessories fitted on them, such as bike racks or roof boxes, is subtracted from the 75 kg.
- Without a T-track, accessories fit only with the classic U-bolt fitting of at least 30 mm; check this on each accessory's page before buying.
- The roof bars have no lock, and accessories fitted on them must be protected separately when you leave the car in car parks.
- The height of the car increases with the accessories fitted; measure it before car parks or barriers.
