On this 5-door Opel Corsa E (X15) we fitted Menabo Omega Aluminium roof bars and, on top of them, a 320-litre Menabo Marathon Dark roof box. Everything was fitted in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Opel Corsa E (X15)
The E generation of the Opel Corsa, code X15, made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2014 and was built until 2019, as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback. It is built on the SCCS platform, like the Corsa D. Opel changed all the exterior panels except the roof, while the body structure and the glazed area stayed the same as on the previous model.
On a small hatchback like this Corsa E, a 320-litre roof box adds luggage space without taking up the back seat. The roof has no roof rails, so the first step is roof bars that attach directly to the body, with a kit made for the 5-door version. Only then can the box be fitted on the bars.
What we fitted on this Opel Corsa E
The base is the set of Menabo Omega Aluminium roof bars for Opel Corsa (E), 5-door, 2015-2019 model: two silver bars of 1120 mm, with a 28 x 47 mm profile, 4 feet and 4 vehicle-specific fittings, fitted with only the Allen key supplied. The bars carry a maximum of 50 kg, have a 20 mm track for accessories with T-track fitting and are TÜV and ISO approved.
On the bars we fitted the the Menabo Marathon Dark 320 roof box, made of matt black ABS plastic, with a volume of 320 litres, one-side opening and a lock. The box comes with a 60 mm U-bolt fitting system; optionally you can use a 20 mm T-track system (item 000120100000) or an 80 mm U-bolt system (item 000065000000). On the product sheet, the Marathon 320 is listed as compatible with Menabo Omega Aluminium bars.

Specifications and useful calculations
- Menabo Marathon Dark 320 box: volume 320 litres, weight 11 kg, maximum load 50 kg, material ABS, one-side opening, lock included.
- Menabo Omega Aluminium bars for Corsa E 5-door: 1120 mm long, weight 4.5 kg, capacity 50 kg.
