About the car: Opel Insignia A, Sports Tourer (estate)

The Insignia A, with code G09, was built from October 2008 to April 2017. The model came as a 4-door saloon, a 5-door liftback and a 5-door estate, and the estate version is called Sports Tourer. The major facelift was launched in June 2013.

On the Sports Tourer, the roof rails are factory-fitted and have holes for the screws of the roof bars, so the Leopard set fits onto them. The maximum roof load is 100 kg, including the bars and the load, but for the Leopard set the lower limit of 75 kg counts. The type of roof therefore decides which kit of bars fits the car.

The Menabo Leopard Silver XL roof bars are made of aluminium, 1,350 mm long, 30 mm high and 80 mm wide. They have a 20 mm T-track along the full length, 4 fixing systems and 4 locks with keys. The maximum load is 75 kg, and the bars have TÜV and ISO/PAS 11154:2006 approvals.

The product description shows that bike racks, roof boxes or ski racks can be fitted on the Leopard bars. For each accessory, check that its fitting is compatible with the 20 mm T-track and that its weight fits within the 75 kg of the set.
