About the car: Opel Meriva A (2003-2010)

The Opel Meriva A is a 5-door MPV, produced from May 2003 to 2010 in Spain. It is built on the GM Gamma platform, derived from the third-generation Opel Corsa C. In February 2006 Opel revised the front and rear of the car.

The car in this fitting has no roof rails, so the K39 roof bars fix directly to the body, with the feet clamped by plates in the channel along the edge of the roof. For a Meriva A without factory rails, this type of fixing decides which set of bars fits.

What we fitted on this Opel Meriva

We fitted the K39 steel roof bars for Opel Meriva (A), 5-door, 2003-2009. The bars are 1,120 mm long, 30 mm wide and 20 mm high. The steel bars are wrapped in a protective plastic layer, and the metal parts have rubberised paint for corrosion protection.

On these bars you can fit bike racks, roof boxes or ski racks with a classic U-bolt fitting of at least 30 mm. First attach the rack to the bar, then secure the bike on the rack.

• The maximum load is 55 kg. The weight of the fitted accessory is deducted from this figure.

• The bars have no T-track on top and no lock, so accessories attach with the U-bolt fitting only.
• After fitting, the height of the car increases with the bars and with the accessories. Keep this in mind at underground car parks or under barriers.
