We fitted a fourth-generation Suzuki Vitara (LY, 2015+) with Menabo Tiger Silver roof bars and, on top of them, a Carbon Look roof box of 320 litres. All the fitting was done in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom, now at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Suzuki Vitara 4 (LY, 2015-present)
The LY generation of the Suzuki Vitara entered production in March 2015 and is still built today on the Global C platform; for Europe it is assembled by Magyar Suzuki in Esztergom, Hungary. It is a 5-door SUV that received a facelift shown in Paris in 2018 and, from March 2020, a 48V mild hybrid engine (K14D Boosterjet, 1.4 litre) on the European market.
When you put a box on the roof of a Vitara, the figure that matters is the limit set by Suzuki. The manual describes two roof variants: with roof rails, where 75 kg is permitted, and with anchor points, where 50 kg is permitted. In both cases the figure includes the weight of the roof bars plus the load. Because the Tiger Silver set fits on the roof rails, on this Vitara we work with a limit of 75 kg for everything that goes on the roof: bars, box and luggage.
What we fitted on this Suzuki Vitara
The base is the set Menabo Tiger Silver roof bars for Suzuki Vitara 2015+: 2 aluminium bars of 1,200 mm, with an oval profile of 48 x 28 mm, 4 pre-assembled feet for roof rails and an Allen key. The bars have a 20 mm T-track and locks, are tested to TÜV and ISO/PAS 11154:2006 and carry a maximum of 75 kg.
On the bars we fitted the Carbon Look 320L roof box, Black, a polypropylene box, matt black with a carbon texture, with a volume of 320 litres and a maximum load of 55 kg. It is 131 cm long and 34 cm high, opens on one side (right) and has a lock. It fixes with an 80 mm U-bolt fitting, and the box's compatibility list explicitly includes Menabo Tiger bars, so no adapter is needed.

Calculations and roof tips
- The roof limit on a Suzuki Vitara LY with roof rails: 75 kg, according to the Suzuki manual (page 5-20), for the roof bars plus the load.
- Useful calculation: from 75 kg subtract the weight of the Tiger Silver bars and the Carbon Look box (both listed on the product pages); what remains is the maximum weight of the luggage, which in any case cannot exceed 55 kg, the capacity of the box.
- The Carbon Look 320 L box is 34 cm high externally and sits above the bars, so check the overall height of the car before underground car parks, garages or car washes.
- The Tiger Silver bars have no PDF sheet on the site, but the instruction manual is in the pack; the Carbon Look box has its fitting instructions as a PDF on the product page.
