We equipped a Toyota RAV4 XA50 with Menabo Dedicate OE roof bars made for the 2018+ model, a solid base for bike racks and other accessories on the roof. The fitting was done in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Toyota RAV4 XA50 (2018-2025)
The RAV4 XA50 is the fifth generation of the model, produced from November 2018 to December 2025. It is a 5-door SUV built on the GA-K platform, and in the UK the first deliveries began on 1 April 2019 for the front-wheel-drive versions and in May 2019 for the AWD ones. The facelift of September 2021 brought new LED headlights, without a change of generation.
On the roof, the RAV4 XA50 comes either with low roof rails close to the body, or without rails. The difference decides which roof bar system you choose. The car in this fitting had the low roof rails, and Menabo Dedicate OE has vehicle-specific fittings for them, with a fixed fitting that prevents the bars and the luggage from moving or rattling in traffic.
What we fitted on this Toyota RAV4
We chose the Menabo Dedicate OE bars for the Toyota RAV 4 (XA50): two oval aluminium bars of 113 cm, with 4 vehicle-specific fittings and a lock. The set weighs only 4 kg and carries up to 75 kg.
The advantage for cyclists is the standard 20 mm T-track, into which many bike racks for roof bars. Technical details and what to watch for
- Bar dimensions: 1130 mm long, 80 mm wide, 30 mm high; aluminium; 4 kg set.
- Capacity: 75 kg. A bike rack plus a bike add up and are deducted from the 75 kg; the same goes for two racks side by side.
- The 20 mm T-track runs along the whole length of the bar; check beforehand that the fixing of the rack you choose fits this profile.
- With a bike on the roof, the RAV4 becomes much taller: watch out for garages, underground car parks and car washes.
- The package contains 2 bars, 4 vehicle-specific fitting kits and 1 Allen key; no other tool is needed.
- TÜV tested, approved to ISO/PAS 11154:2006 and DIN 75302.
