Toyota Yaris with Menabo Delta Black roof bars, Juza bike rack and Fabbri Nova 430 roof box

On a Toyota Yaris we fitted Menabo Delta Black roof bars, the Menabo Juza bike rack and the Fabbri Nova 430 roof box at the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Toyota Yaris third generation (XP130)

The third-generation Toyota Yaris has the code XP130 and was built in France, at Onnaing, for European models, from June 2011 to June 2020. The model uses the Toyota B platform and was offered as a 3-door and 5-door hatchback. The second Yaris facelift was available in Europe from March 2017.

The Yaris roof has no roof rails, so the roof bars attach directly to the bodywork, through feet with clamps on the door frame. The roof type matters for fitting: the bike rack and the box are fitted only after the roof bars.

What we fitted on this Yaris

We fitted the Menabo Delta Black roof bars, made of black aluminium, with a 20 mm T-track on top for accessories with T-bolts. The package includes 2 bars, 4 clamps, locks and the Allen key, and the bars carry 50 kg.

On the bars we fitted the Menabo Juza bike rack, made of aluminium, with 20 mm T-bolt fitting in the T-track of the bar. The rack attaches to the bar, and the bike is then fixed to the rack by the frame and the wheels. The Juza carries one bike of up to 15 kg, with a frame diameter of up to 60 mm.

On the same bars we also fitted the grey Fabbri Nova 430 roof box, with 430 litres, attached with 80 mm U-bolts. The box carries 75 kg and has an integrated lock.

Technical details and what to watch for

• The Menabo Delta Black bars are 1,370 mm long, 30 mm high and 60 mm wide, and are made of black aluminium.
• The bar package includes 2 bars, 4 clamps, locks and the Allen key.
• The Juza rack has a lock for the rack and for the bike. The standard fitting on the bar is 20 mm T-bolts, and the U-bolt version is optional.
• The Fabbri Nova 430 box has 430 litres, carries 75 kg, has an integrated lock and opens on one side. The outer dimensions are 175x80x44 cm.
• The maximum load of the bars can differ depending on the make and model of the car, so check the car manufacturer's data.
• Before setting off, check the height of the car with the box on the roof, especially in underground car parks or under barriers.
