What we fitted on this Volkswagen Polo
The set consists of Menabo Tema Aluminium roof bars: two bars of 1,120 mm, four feet, four locks and an Allen key. The profile is oval and aerodynamic, and the top has a 20 mm T-track.
The metal parts are finished with a rubberised anti-corrosion coating, and the set is TÜV and ISO approved. Accessories with T-bolt fittings are fixed directly in the track, and those without can be fitted with U-bolts around the outside of the bar.
Technical details and what to watch for
- Capacity: the bars carry 50 kg. The weight of the fitted accessory is subtracted from this figure, because the load presses on the roof bars.
- Bar dimensions: 1,120 mm long, 30 mm high and 48 mm wide, made of aluminium.
- 20 mm T-track on top, for accessories with T-bolt fittings. For U-bolt fitting, the fitting goes around the outside of the bar.
- After the accessories are fitted, the height of the car increases. Check the total height before entering underground car parks or a garage.
- The lock is included, with its keys, and fitting is done with the Allen key in the set, without any other tool.
