The second-generation Volvo V40 (P1) was built between 2012 and 2019, as a 5-door hatchback on the Global C platform. It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012. The facelift with Thor's Hammer headlights was presented at Geneva in 2016, so the 2012-2016 model is the pre-facelift version. There is also a Cross Country version, with body protection, increased ground clearance and larger wheels.

The oval, aerodynamic profile gives minimal drag, and the metal parts have a rubberised coating and corrosion protection. The set includes 2 bars, 4 fitting kit parts, 4 feet, 4 lock cylinders with keys and an Allen key.
The Carbon Look 320L, black holds 320 litres and is 131 cm long and 34 cm high. It is fixed on the roof bars with an 80 mm U-bolt fitting, around the outside of the bar, and is lockable. It is compatible with Menabo Tema roof bars, both steel and aluminium.

- Load: the Tema roof bars have a maximum load of 50 kg, and the Carbon Look 320L box takes 55 kg. The weight of the box is subtracted from the load capacity of the roof bars, so the load left for luggage is smaller.
- Weight: the set of 2 Tema roof bars weighs 5.2 kg.
- Fitting: the roof bars have a 20 mm T-track on top, for accessories with a T fitting. The Carbon Look box uses the 80 mm U-bolt fitting, around the outside of the bar.
