The 1st-generation Volvo XC40 is a compact 5-door SUV, built since November 2017. It was the first Volvo built on the CMA platform, and in 2018 it won the European Car of the Year award, announced at the Geneva Motor Show. The first facelift came for the 2023 model year. The fully battery-electric version was renamed EX40 in 2024.
The roof rails of the XC40 are integrated, flush with the roof, so the roof bars are not fitted directly to the bodywork. The package includes 2 aluminium bars, 4 feet for the roof rails, 4 lock cylinders with keys and an Allen key. The maximum load capacity is 90 kg, and the 20 mm channel along the whole length of the bar lets you attach accessories with T-bolt fittings.

Technical details and what to watch for
