This winter you are getting your skis ready for fun on the slopes, but you also need a ski rack that carries your equipment safely to the mountains. Winter sports need thorough preparation every time you decide to head for the slopes. As always, we advise every winter sports fan not to resort to "tricks" when carrying skis or snowboards to the mountains.

We mean the habit of squeezing skis or snowboards into the car next to the passengers. This is very dangerous. Why? Because in any impact or sudden braking, skis and snowboards can injure you or your passengers. That is why we advise you to choose a ski rack that suits your needs every time you head for the slopes.

In this article we introduce the Fabbri Kolumbus Deluxe magnetic ski rack, which sits on the car roof. This Fabbri rack is a very practical and versatile car accessory for winter sports fans. With it, you can carry two pairs of skis in complete safety.

How do you fit the Fabbri Kolumbus Deluxe ski rack?

The Fabbri Kolumbus Deluxe ski rack has a magnetic base. This means you need no special keys to fit it on your car: the Fabbri Kolumbus Deluxe attaches directly to the roof with its built-in magnets.

When fitting the rack, make sure it sits correctly on the car and that the skis are straight and correctly positioned. Once the rack is on the car, place your skis in the holders of the Fabbri Kolumbus Deluxe.

To secure the skis, close the rack with the keys supplied. Before setting off, make sure the rack is firmly in place and the skis are held securely.

This Fabbri ski rack has built-in anti-theft locks for both the rack itself and the skis you carry. The Fabbri Kolumbus weighs 9 kg.

Before choosing the Kolumbus, make sure it is compatible with your car. The Fabbri Kolumbus magnetic rack cannot be fitted to cars with:
