Menabo Snow Socks are approved to the European standard EN 16662-1:2020, the standard that sets the safety and performance requirements for textile snow chains. The model was tested by an accredited body (ID 0288) and to the Austrian standard ONORM V 5121:2021, certificate no. 288-23032, valid until April 2028.

When snow or ice takes the grip away from your wheels, Menabo Snow Socks go on in under 2 minutes, without tools, and make it easy to pull away, climb and brake safely on winter roads.

How they work

The tread surface is made of an abrasion-resistant polyester fabric with absorbent fibres. On fresh snow and ice, the fibres soak up the film of water that makes the road slippery, and on wet snow they remove it, so the tyre stays in contact with the surface.

Which vehicles they suit

Cars, SUVs and light vans (classes M1 and N1). Fit them on the drive wheels. Always follow your car maker's instructions on snow chains.

Tips for use

• Fit the snow socks on both drive wheels (the same axle).
• Take them off when the road is clear; they are not made for dry tarmac.
• After use, let them dry and keep them in the bag supplied.
• Before a trip abroad, check the local rules on winter equipment.
