Thule Cappy S dog car harness

Thule Cappy is an impact-tested dog car harness that keeps your dog safe on the back seat. It is built to withstand the forces of a sudden stop or a collision, and it attaches directly to the car's seat belt. Unlike short leads or seat belt extenders, the harness keeps the dog close to the seat belt and stops it being thrown forward, which could put other passengers at risk too.

Size S suits dogs with a chest girth of 47.5-63.5 cm and a neck girth of 34-42 cm, up to 11 kg.

Quick to put on and adjust once

The harness is put on through the legs, so it does not need to be pulled over the dog's head. It is ideal for dogs that do not tolerate classic harnesses. The adjustment straps are separate from the fastening straps: set the size once, then simply fasten and unfasten the harness.

Comfortable for the whole journey

The padded mesh panels are breathable and keep the dog comfortable on short trips and long journeys alike. Once fitted, the dog can move, sit, lie down and sleep peacefully. The ring for the lead on the back lets you take the dog out for a short walk without removing the harness. The smooth material, made from 100% recycled PU and a bluesign® product, wipes clean with a damp cloth.

How to choose the size

Measure the dog with a tape measure around the base of the neck and around the chest, at its widest point, just behind the front legs. The harness should sit well on the body, while still letting the dog sit and lie down naturally. When it is correctly adjusted, you should be able to fit two fingers between the harness and the dog.

Note: The harness must only be used with the car's three-point seat belt, on the back seat, preferably behind an empty front seat. Get your dog used to the harness before the journey. After an accident the harness must be replaced, even if it shows no visible damage. Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water.
