Thule Edge Raised Rail transverse bar system is mounted on the machines provided by the manufacturer with longitudinal bars (with distance from the ceiling).
This WingBar Edge bar system has an extra-low profile (sitting closer to the roof), improving the car's overall appearance as well as its aerodynamics and, not least, this low position increases safety on tall vehicles when passing under low bridges.

Drawing on aeronautical technology together with wind-tunnel testing, Thule's Swedish engineers have reduced driving noise to almost a minimum; these bars are designed to stay on the car permanently, even when not in use.

Tightening the bars onto the car is very easy, using a special key supplied in the package. For anti-theft protection, the covers over the clamping system are fitted with key locks.

This system meets the City Crash standards.
