This Thule rack fits a wide range of bikes, but the bike frames must be at least 20 inches in size. The rack is tightened onto the towball with a special bolt.

The rack also tilts, so you can open the boot while it is fitted to the car. Tilting is only possible when no bikes are loaded.

The Thule HangOn 9708 bike rack is a convenient, effective way to carry bikes safely on your towbar. It is made from good-quality steel with an anti-corrosion treatment for long-lasting durability, and carries up to 4 bikes with a combined weight of no more than 60 kg.

The bikes hang from the rack by the top tube of the frame and are held in place with two rubber straps. Finally, a quick-release strap ties the bikes to the rack so they don't swing. With the 982 adapter (sold separately), the Thule 9708 can also carry step-through bikes or full-suspension mountain bikes where the top tube is missing or too short.

Fitting it to the towbar is easy: just tighten a bolt with the special key supplied in the box. Optionally, with the accessory Thule Lock 957, the rack can be locked against theft. And by locking the bikes to the rack with the accessory Thule Cable Lock 538 , you can keep the bikes secure too whenever you stop.

Thule HangOn 9708 has a clever tilting system. The rack tilts to give access to the boot, but only when no bikes are loaded. For better visibility of the number plate and the car's rear lights, you can add the optional lighting board with number-plate holder Thule 976, which plugs into the towbar socket.
