This Thule rack fits on your car's towbar and carries 2 bikes. The Thule Xpress is made of specially treated steel and takes a maximum of 30 kg. It suits a wide range of bikes, from 20 in wheel size upwards.

The Thule Xpress 970 also takes bikes with disc brakes and can be fitted with the optional Thule Cable Lock 538, sold separately, which locks the bikes in transit.

The Thule Xpress 970 is an economical, efficient way to carry bikes on your towbar. It is made of quality steel with an anti-corrosion treatment for a long life, and carries up to two bikes with a combined weight of no more than 30 kg.

The bikes hang on the rack by their top tube and are held with two rubber straps. To stop them swinging, they are then tied to the rack frame with a quick-release strap. With the TA982 adapter (sold separately), the Thule 970 can also carry step-through bikes or full-suspension mountain bikes whose top tube is missing or too short.

Fitting it to the towbar is very easy: you simply press a lever. A small padlock can be added to protect the rack against theft, and by locking the bikes to the rack with the Thule Cable Lock 538 , you can keep the bikes secure too whenever you stop.
