The Audi A6 allroad quattro of the C7 generation (Typ 4G) was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 and produced from 2012 to 2018. It uses the MLB platform, like the A6 C7, but Audi designed over 1,100 parts that are unique to it compared with the standard A6. The car that came to us is a post-facelift allroad, in line with the kit for 2014-2018 models.
The allroad roof has the same matt finish as the bumper and four longitudinal ribs for rigidity. Our car has raised roof rails, with a gap between them and the roof. On a car with roof rails, roof bars do not attach to the body but directly to the roof rails, with vehicle-specific fittings, so choosing the right kit depends on the body and the year of the car.
What we fitted on this Audi A6 allroad
Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bars for Audi A6 (4G) Allroad 2014-2018 are made of aluminium, with an aerodynamic wing profile that helps reduce noise and air resistance. The bar has a cross-section of 8 cm (80 mm wide), 30 mm high and 1,350 mm long. A standard 20 mm T-track runs the whole length for accessories with a T-track fitting, so the bars suit roof boxes, bike racks, ski racks or kayak and canoe carriers.
The set contains 2 aluminium bars, 4 feet for roof rails, 4 lock cylinders with keys and an Allen key, the only tool you need. The bars are TÜV and ISO/PAS 11154:2006 approved.
