About the car: Audi A6, C7 and C8 generations

The Audi A6 has had two recent generations of 4-door saloon. The C7 generation (Typ 4G) was built from December 2010 to 2018, on the MLB platform, and the C8 generation (Typ 4K) from April 2018 to 2025, on the MLB Evo platform. Both also exist as an estate, called Avant.

On the saloon, the A6 has no roof rails, so the roof bars attach directly to the bodywork, with a different kit for each generation. We fitted the the Thule Evo Clamp Silver roof bars, a system for cars with a normal roof, which fixes to the bodywork through a fitting kit specific to each car. Fitting does not need special tools, just the key in the box. The set contains 2 aluminium bars, 4 feet, 4 fitting systems, 4 anti-theft locks with keys and an Allen key.

The Thule Evo WingBar bars have a wing-shaped profile, and Thule states up to 90% less noise and up to 55% less air resistance compared with its previous aluminium bars. The 20 mm T-track on top is covered with rubber and takes accessories with T-track adapters. The set carries 75 kg and is TÜV and ISO approved.
