About the car: Dacia Logan MCV II
The Logan MCV II estate belongs to the second generation of the Logan, with the codes L52/K52, produced by Dacia between 2012 and 2020 on the Dacia M0 platform. The MCV version debuted at Geneva in 2013, when the name became Maximum Capacity Vehicle, and the generation received a facelift presented at Paris in 2016.
On the roof, the Logan MCV II has raised roof rails, and the Sherman Silver roof bars attach directly to them, with the pre-fitted feet. A short box, 131 cm long, is a compact choice for this roof. We do not know the roof load of the Logan MCV II from an official Dacia source, so please check the value in the car's manual.
What we fitted on this Logan MCV
The base of the setup is the roof bars Menabo Sherman Silver for the Dacia Logan MCV 2013+, an upgraded version of the old Menabo Brio, with a rubber strip under the aluminium bar. They have an oval profile, are 1,200 mm long, 27 mm high and 47 mm wide, with a 20 mm T-track, locks and a maximum load of 90 kg, and are TÜV and ISO/PAS 11154:2006 tested.
On them we fixed the Carbon Look 320L roof box, made of polypropylene, matt black with a carbon texture. It holds 320 litres, is 131 cm long and 34 cm high, takes a maximum of 55 kg, is lockable and opens on the right-hand side. It is fixed on the roof bars with an 80 mm U-bolt fitting and needs no adapter.

Technical details and what to watch for
- With the Carbon Look 320L box filled to 55 kg, 35 kg of the 90 kg of the Sherman Silver roof bars remain, which also has to cover the box's own weight. On top of these values, the roof load in the Logan MCV manual applies.
- The box is 34 cm high; add the height of the roof bars and of the roof rails when you enter underground car parks or garages.
- The Sherman Silver roof bars come assembled, with 4 pre-fitted feet and an Allen key. The instruction manual of the Sherman Silver roof bars is included in the box, and the fitting instructions of the Carbon Look 320L box are below, as a PDF.
- For the Carbon Look 320L box you find the fitting instructions as a PDF on the product page.
- Menabo recommends a maximum of 130 km/h with the roof bars fitted. We wrote about the noise that can appear while driving in the guide about whistling roof bars.

Frequently asked questions
How much weight does the Carbon Look 320L roof box carry?
The Carbon Look 320L roof box holds 320 litres and has a maximum load of 55 kg. On the Menabo Sherman Silver roof bars of a Dacia Logan MCV II, which carry 90 kg, the full box leaves a 35 kg reserve, which also covers the box's own weight.
Is the Carbon Look 320L box compatible with the Menabo Sherman roof bars?
Yes. The Carbon Look 320L box is fixed with an 80 mm U-bolt fitting, needs no adapter, and Menabo Sherman roof bars are on its list of compatible roof bars. That is how we fitted it on this Dacia Logan MCV II too.
Which roof bars fit the Dacia Logan MCV 2013+?
The Dacia Logan MCV II (2013-2020) has roof rails, so it takes roof bars that attach to them, for example Menabo Sherman Silver for the Logan MCV 2013+, made of aluminium, 1,200 mm long, with a maximum load of 90 kg and a 20 mm T-track.
Why do roof bars make noise while driving?
Any roof bar, including the Menabo Sherman Silver on a Dacia Logan MCV II, changes the aerodynamics of the car, and the noise depends on the profile of the bars, the accessories fitted and the speed. The oval profile helps, and Menabo recommends a maximum of 130 km/h. Details in our guide to roof bar noise.
