A third-generation Dacia Sandero Stepway (BJI) left our shop with a Carbon Look 320L roof box on the roof. We did the fitting in our SuportBicicleta.ro shop at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Dacia Sandero Stepway III (BJI)
The Dacia Sandero Stepway III, with the code BJI, was launched on 29 September 2020 and uses the CMF-B LS platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance. The model received the new Dacia logo in June 2022 and a facelift on 6 October 2025, with a new front end and headlights.
For a roof box, the important figure in the Dacia manual is 80 kg on the roof for the 5-door versions, including the bars and the box. The modular roof bars, on cars equipped with them, can be set crosswise and carry at most 40 kg each. In that position the manual asks for a maximum of 130 km/h and prohibits roller car washes.
What we fitted on this Sandero Stepway
Carbon Look 320L roof box has 320 litres, is 131 cm long and 34 cm high. The shell is made of polypropylene, matt black with a carbon texture, and the lid opens on one side and has an anti-theft lock.
The box attaches with an 80 mm U-bolt fitting. The product page lists it as compatible with the Menabo, K39, Thule, Yakima and Mont Blanc Xplore bars in the list, and the fitting instructions are available as a PDF on the product page.

Useful details
- The Carbon Look 320L box carries a maximum of 55 kg; together with the box's own weight you reach at most 67 kg.
- On the Dacia Sandero Stepway III the 80 kg roof limit also includes the bars, so count them in the total as well.
- On the modular roof bars the limit is 40 kg per bar; load evenly, so that the weight is split equally between the two bars.
- The box is 34 cm high, to which the bars are added; keep this in mind at underground car parks and garages.
- With the modular roof bars in the crosswise position, do not exceed 130 km/h, and about every 500 km check and tighten the bar screws.
