About the car: Ford C-Max

The first-generation Ford C-Max has the internal code C214 and is a compact 5-door MPV built on the Ford C1 platform, the first model to use it. It was built from 2003 to 2010. Before the facelift, from 2003 to 2007, it was called the Ford Focus C-Max. The facelift was presented in Bologna in December 2006 and went on sale in late spring 2007.

In the photo you can see the C-MAX badge on the tailgate, without Focus, and the first-generation tail lights, so the car looks like the post-facelift version. For the Mistral, which fits on the tailgate, what matters is that the car has a tailgate and five doors. What we fitted on this Ford C-Max

We fitted the Menabo Mistral bike rack for 3 bikes, tailgate or boot-mounted. It fits straight onto the tailgate with straps, and the contact surfaces are scratch-protected. The Mistral folds, so it is easier to store when you are not using it.

The Mistral carries 3 bikes and is suitable for fat bikes, but not for e-bikes. It has 6 body contact points and bike clamps, and the bikes touch each other, so put some protection between the frames. The rack has no lock.
