Ford Tourneo Connect 2nd Generation with Menabo Lince Silver XL Roof Bars

On a 2nd-generation Ford Tourneo Connect we fitted a set of Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bars, in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Ford Tourneo Connect, 2nd generation (2012-2022)

Tourneo Connect is the European name of the second-generation Ford Transit Connect, and the long version is called the Grand Tourneo Connect. Production started in October 2012 and continued until 2022, while the short-wheelbase version was built until 2020. The wheelbases are 2,660 mm for the short version and 3,060 mm for the long one, and the vehicles were assembled in Valencia, Spain. It received a facelift for model year 2019.

For fitting, it matters whether the car has factory roof rails. What we fitted on this Ford Tourneo Connect

We fitted the Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bars for Ford Tourneo Connect. The set includes 2 aluminium bars, 4 feet for roof rails, 4 locks with keys and an Allen key, so no other tools are needed. The bars are 80 mm wide and 30 mm high, with an aerodynamic profile that reduces noise and air resistance.

The 20 mm T-track runs along the full length of the bar, so roof boxes, bike racks, ski racks or kayak and canoe racks can be used on the bars. The instruction manual is included in the box.

• Maximum load: 90 kg, according to the product specifications.

• The set is TÜV and ISO/PAS 11154:2006 approved.
