About the car: Hyundai Elantra 6th generation (AD)

The 6th-generation Hyundai Elantra has the internal code AD and was built between 2015 and 2020, only as a 4-door saloon. The model was launched in South Korea, under the name Avante, in September 2015. The roofline slopes down towards the rear, like a fastback, and the headlights and rear lights have pentagonal shapes.

The car in this post is the pre-facelift version; the facelift, launched in South Korea on 6 September 2018, changed the rear with redesigned rear lights. For a tailgate-mounted rack, it is the shape of the saloon with a separate boot that matters: the rack is strapped to the boot lid. The Elantra AD has no factory roof rails, so if you want roof bars, the set is fitted directly to the car body.
