On a brown Kia Sportage QL, from the first part of the 4th generation, we fitted Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bars. Everything was done in our shop at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Kia Sportage QL (4th generation)
The 4th generation of the Kia Sportage, with the code QL, debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015 and reached customers in 2016. Production lasted until 2021, and for Europe the facelift went onto the line at Zilina, Slovakia, in the second quarter of 2018. The car in the post is a brown QL from before this facelift, so a car built between 2015 and 2018.
This Sportage has raised, silver roof rails, and the roof bars fix onto them. The Menabo Lince Silver XL set contains feet for rail-type roof rails, so nothing is fitted to the doors. We do not have the maximum roof load for the QL from a verified official manual, so it has to be read in the car's technical handbook.
What we fitted on this Sportage QL
The fitting is a set of Menabo Lince Silver XL roof bars for Kia Sportage (QL) 2016+. The aluminium bars are 1,350 mm long, 30 mm high and 80 mm wide, with an aerodynamic wing-shaped profile designed to reduce noise and air resistance.
The set has a maximum load of 90 kg and contains two bars, four feet for roof rails, four locks with keys and an Allen key, with no other tools needed. The 20 mm T-track along the whole length of the bar takes accessories with T-track fittings: roof boxes, bike racks, ski racks or kayak carriers. The roof bars are TÜV and ISO/PAS 11154 tested.

Specifications and useful tips
- The 90 kg capacity is that of the bars; subtract the weight of the accessory from it. The rest is left for luggage.
- If the roof load in the technical handbook of the Sportage QL is lower than 90 kg, that is the real limit.
- The Menabo Lince Silver XL bars are 1,350 mm long, 30 mm high and 80 mm wide, with a 20 mm T-track for T-track fittings along the whole length.
- The set includes four locks with keys, as well as the Allen key for fitting.
- With an accessory on the bars, the Kia Sportage QL becomes taller: check the overall height before underground car parks or car washes.

For Europe, the Kia Sportage QL facelift went into production at Zilina in the second quarter of 2018, with deliveries from the third quarter. A QL built between 2015 and the first part of 2018 is the pre-facelift version.
