On a white first-generation Dacia Duster (HS), facelift version, we fitted Menabo Profile M roof bars and the 480-litre Carbon Look roof box. We did the work in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom, which you will now find at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Dacia Duster first generation (HS), 2013 facelift
The car in this fitting is a Duster HS facelift. The first generation was built from 2010 to 2017 for Europe, as a 5-door crossover SUV, and the facelift presented in September 2013 at Frankfurt brought the chrome grille you can see on the front of the car, new headlights and restyled roof rails. You will find the roof bar kit for this version in our shop under the name Dacia Duster II, 2013-2018 model.
The raised roof rails of the Duster HS are the base for the whole fitting: the roof bars attach to them, and the box attaches to the roof bars. For a box almost 2 metres long, it is important that the set is stable and properly tightened. We do not have the official roof load for the HS from a Dacia manual, so you can check it in the technical documentation of your car.
What we fitted on this Duster
The bars are Menabo Profile M for the Dacia Duster 2013-2018: aluminium, 1,270 mm long, 54 x 27 mm oval section, 20 mm T-track and a maximum load of 75 kg. Each of the four fixings has a lock, and fitting is done with the Allen key in the box.
On them we fixed the Carbon Look 480L roof box, made of matt black polypropylene with a carbon texture. It is 198 cm long, 79 cm wide and 37 cm high, opens on the right-hand side, has a lock and an 80 mm U-bolt fitting system. The maximum load of the box is 75 kg. - Menabo Profile M roof bars: 1,270 x 54 x 27 mm, aluminium, maximum load 75 kg, 20 mm T-track, lockable.
- Carbon Look 480L box: 198 x 79 x 37 cm, 480 litres, polypropylene, right-hand opening, 80 mm U-bolt fitting.
- The roof bars carry 75 kg in total, box included; the weight of the empty box is subtracted from this value, so the real load is below 75 kg.
- With the box on the roof, the 37 cm of the box and the 27 mm of the roof bars add to the height of the car; keep that in mind in garages and underground car parks.
