The Astra G is the second-generation Opel Astra, with the code T98, built on the GM T-body platform. It appeared in Europe in the spring of 1998, and Opel production ran until 2009, with the saloon and the Caravan estate staying in the Gliwice factory as the Astra Classic II until the end of 2009.
