About the car: Peugeot 208 first generation, 2015 facelift

The Peugeot 208 was built in Europe between March 2012 and August 2019, on the PSA PF1 platform, as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback. The 5-door version was available from June 2012, and in June 2015 the model received a facelift. The project was developed under the code A9.

Having no roof rails, the 208 needs a dedicated kit to fit the roof bars on the body. The second generation, introduced in 2019, has a different roof bar kit, so this fitting suits the 2015-2019 model. The type of roof matters, because the roof bars attach to the body, not to rails.

The Menabo Omega Aluminium roof bars for Peugeot 208, 5-door, 2015-2019 model is made of aluminium, with a profile 28 mm high and 47 mm wide, and the roof bars are 1,120 mm long. The pack includes 2 roof bars, 4 fixing systems, 4 feet and an Allen key. The fixing systems in the pack are the ones for the Peugeot 208, 5-door, 2015-2019 model. The instruction manual is included in the box.

Technical details and what to watch for

• The maximum load of the Omega roof bars is 50 kg. The weight of the rack or box fitted is deducted from this value.
• The weight of the set is 4.5 kg, according to the product page, and it counts towards the total load.
• Accessories fix with the T-track system on the 20 mm channel or with the U-bolt system on the outside of the bar. The Allen key for fitting is included, so no other tools are needed.
