We fitted the Menabo Tiger Black roof bar set on a first-generation Skoda Kodiaq in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: first-generation Skoda Kodiaq

The first-generation Skoda Kodiaq was built from October 2016 to 2024, with the first deliveries in February 2017. It is a 5-door SUV, and the Skoda data sheet describes it with 5 or 7 seats. The model codes are NS7, NV7 and NS6, and the platform is Volkswagen MQB A2.

In the photo, the Kodiaq is grey, pre-facelift, with the Menabo Tiger roof bars fitted. The Skoda data sheet gives a maximum roof load of 75 kg for all the engines listed. The weight of accessories and luggage on the bars must not exceed 75 kg in total.

What we fitted on this Skoda Kodiaq

The Menabo Tiger Black for the Skoda Kodiaq 2017+ has two 1,200 mm aluminium roof bars with an aerodynamic oval section and a 20 mm T-track along the whole length. The pack includes 4 pre-assembled feet and an Allen key, so you need no other tools.

Thanks to the standard T-track, the bars suit bike racks, ski racks, roof boxes and kayak or canoe carriers. The bars are TÜV tested and tested to ISO/PAS 11154:2006 and meet DIN 75302. The fitting instructions are included in the pack, and the videos and photos are for presentation only.

Technical details and what to watch for

• Dimensions: length 1,200 mm, height 28 mm, width 48 mm, aerodynamic oval profile.
• Capacity: 75 kg. The weight of the rack or roof box fitted on the bars is deducted from this value.
• T-track: the 20 mm T-track lets you fit accessories along the whole length of the bar.
• Anti-theft lock: the set has no lock.
• Car limit: the load capacity can differ depending on the make and model of the car. Also check the specifications given by the car maker.
• Safety: after fitting, check that all the fittings are tight before every journey.
