About the car: SsangYong Tivoli first generation
The SsangYong Tivoli is a 5-door subcompact B-segment SUV. The model was launched in South Korea in January 2015, has a single generation (project code X100) and received a facelift in 2019, with new LED headlights and new tail light graphics. The manufacturer was SsangYong Motor between 2015 and 2023, and since 2023 the car has appeared under the KGM brand.
The roof bar set fits on the car's integrated rail-type roof rails, so the fixing system depends on what roof rails the car has on the roof. The Tivoli XLV is the version lengthened by 245 mm behind the rear wheels, so check which version you have before choosing the bars and box.
What we fitted on this SsangYong Tivoli
The bars are Menabo Tiger Black roof bars for SsangYong Tivoli 2015+: 2 aluminium bars, 1,200 mm long, with an oval profile and a 20 mm channel for T-track fixing along the whole length. The set includes 4 pre-assembled fixing systems and the Allen key. The instruction manual is included in the box.
The box is the Menabo Marathon Dark 400 roof box, 164x79x36 cm: 400 litres, in matt black ABS, with a lock and opening on one side. It fixes with the 60 mm U-bolt system or the 20 mm T-track fitting, both included, and is compatible with Menabo Tiger roof bars. You will find the fitting instructions below as a PDF.

Technical details and what to watch for
- The bars carry 75 kg in total. The empty box weighs 13.2 kg, and this weight is deducted from the bars' capacity. The box itself carries a maximum of 50 kg of luggage.
- The box holds 400 litres and is about 36 cm high. Before car parks with a barrier or entering a garage, take into account the overall height of the car with the box fitted.
- The Tiger Black bars have no anti-theft lock, while the Marathon box does. If you leave the car unattended, it is worth taking extra measures for the roof bars.
- The box opens on one side, so choose in advance which side of the car you will open it on and leave free space for opening.

- The bars are TÜV tested and tested to ISO/PAS 11154:2006, in line with DIN 75302. The maximum load may differ depending on the make and model of the car, so also check the car manufacturer's data.
