Suzuki SX4 S-Cross JY (2016+) with Menabo Tiger Silver roof bars on the roof rails

On the roof rails of a Suzuki SX4 S-Cross JY facelift we fitted a set of Menabo Tiger Silver roof bars, the base for any roof accessory. We did the fitting in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Suzuki SX4 S-Cross JY (facelift 2016+)

The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross JY is a 5-door SUV on the Suzuki Global C platform, built in Hungary between 2013 and 2021 and sold in Europe from autumn 2013. The September 2016 facelift brought a new front end, new tail lights, new alloy wheels and more efficient headlights. The car in this fitting is a facelift with roof rails on the roof.

When the car has roof rails, the roof bars clamp onto them, with no fitting kit for the bare roof. Suzuki's accessories catalogue offers two versions of the original roof rack for the SX4 S-Cross: one for cars with roof rails, with a maximum roof load of 75 kg, and one for cars without them, with 50 kg. On our car the 75 kg figure applies, equal to the capacity of the Tiger roof bars.

What we fitted on this SX4 S-Cross

We used the Menabo Tiger Silver roof bars for the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross 2016+. These are 1,200 mm aluminium bars with an aerodynamic oval profile, 48 mm wide and 28 mm high, which helps reduce noise and drag. The pack has 2 roof bars, 4 pre-assembled feet and an Allen key, and the product sheet lists an anti-theft lock.

On top, the Tiger roof bars have a 20 mm T-track along their whole length, so accessories with T-bolt fittings can be added later on this SX4 S-Cross. The product sheet lists them as suitable for roof boxes, bike racks, ski racks and kayak or canoe carriers. The roof bars are TÜV tested to ISO/PAS 11154:2006 and comply with DIN 75302.
