About the car: Toyota Corolla E210 Saloon

The Toyota Corolla E210 is the twelfth Corolla generation and the first built on the TNGA GA-C platform, the same one as the Prius 4 and the C-HR. Besides the hatchback and the estate, the generation also has a 4-door saloon, built since January 2019 in Sakarya, Turkey. This saloon brought the classic four-door Corolla back to Europe, absent since the E120 generation. The facelift has been on sale since the first quarter of 2023, again with a saloon version.

For a set of roof bars, the E210 saloon means a smooth roof without roof rails. Menabo Delta is designed precisely for cars without factory roof rails: it sits on the body, and the dedicated fitting system attaches to the door frame. The kit is chosen by model and body type, and the one we fitted is made for the Corolla (E210) Sedan, 4-door, 2018+.

What we fitted on this Corolla

On the roof we fitted the Menabo Delta Black roof bars for the Toyota Corolla (E210) Saloon, from the Delta range, designed for efficient transport and with an improved aerodynamic design. The package contains 4 fitting kits for the Corolla, 4 feet, 2 black aluminium roof bars, 4 lock cylinders with keys and an Allen key.

Each bar is 1,190 mm long, 60 mm wide and 30 mm high, and the product page gives a weight of 5.2 kg. On top there is a 20 mm T-track for accessories with a T-track fitting; those without one attach in the classic way, with a U-bolt fitting around the outside of the bar. On the Delta you can fit bike racks, roof boxes, ski and snowboard racks or a kayak carrier. The bars are TÜV and ISO approved.

Technical details and what to watch for

Menabo Delta Black for the Corolla E210 Sedan: aluminium, 1,190 x 60 x 30 mm, 5.2 kg, lock included, TÜV and ISO approval.
The maximum load of the roof bars is 50 kg. The weight of the accessory is subtracted from it: a bike rack or a roof box uses up part of the 50 kg before any load goes on.
The maximum roof load of the Corolla E210 does not appear in an official European source that we checked, so read it in the car's manual and observe the lower value.
