Toyota RAV4 XA30 (2005-2012) with Menabo Tema aluminium roof bars and a dedicated fitting kit

On a black third-generation Toyota RAV4 (XA30) with no roof rails, we fitted Menabo Tema aluminium roof bars for the RAV4 XA30. The fitting was done in the SuportBicicleta.ro showroom at Drumul Lunca Corbului 2, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania.

About the car: Toyota RAV4 XA30 (2005-2012)

The Toyota RAV4 XA30 made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005, and export production, including for Europe, ran from November 2005 to December 2012. It is built on the Toyota New MC platform and was only ever offered as a 5-door SUV, with no 3-door version; in Europe it was sold with the short wheelbase. Depending on the market, it received facelifts in 2008 and 2010.

The distinctive feature of the XA30 is its side-opening rear door, with the spare wheel mounted on it. Accessories carried on the roof do not get in the way of opening this door. The car in the fitting has no roof rails, so the roof bars are fitted to the car body with a dedicated fitting kit; the detail photo shows the foot of the Menabo bar, with the clamp attached to the edge of the door opening, on a roof without roof rails.

The Menabo Tema Aluminium for Toyota RAV4 XA30 are made for cars that have no factory roof rails. The set includes 4 fitting kits specific to the RAV4 XA30, 5-door, 2005-2012, 4 feet, 2 aluminium bars, 4 locks with keys and an Allen key, the only tool you need.

The oval profile, 48 mm wide and 30 mm high, is chosen for low wind resistance, and the metal components have a rubberised coating and anti-corrosion treatment. On top, the 20 mm T-track takes bike racks, roof boxes, ski racks or kayak carriers with T-bolt fitting; for accessories without T-bolt fitting there is the U-bolt option, fixed around the outside of the bar.
