Description
The flange towbar for “MAN TGE Van 2016+” is made by Hakpol, a Polish company founded in 1991. Today, Hakpol makes more than 800 towbar models for a wide range of cars.
Every product is EU type-approved and certified (UN ECE R55), and each Hakpol towbar carries its own type approval.
This towbar's maximum towing capacity is 3,500 kg, while its maximum nose weight is 150 kg.
The flange towbar for “MAN TGE Van 2016+” is made specifically for your vehicle and does not affect your car's warranty. It comes with the mounting hardware and a technical diagram for fitting, in line with the car maker's instructions.
This is a flange towbar: the tow ball is held by 2 bolts and comes off when you undo them. The advantages of this type are that the tow ball height can be adjusted and that the tow ball can be replaced as a spare part when worn. These features make flange towbars mainly suited to vans and SUVs used for farm work, vehicle transport, machinery transport and similar jobs.
For the lights to work properly both on the car and on whatever you are towing, a vehicle-specific towbar wiring kit with a CAN-bus module must be fitted. You will find it under “Recommended products”.
The manufacturing process uses electrostatic painting and a production line automated with industrial robots. Hakpol products come with a manufacturer's guarantee of 5 years.
After the first 1,000 km, the bolts must be checked and retightened as set out in the technical specifications supplied with the product. We also recommend measuring the tow ball diameter regularly to make sure it has not worn below 49 mm.
General notes:
1. Maximum towing capacity and nose weight depend on the vehicle's gross weight and engine. Please check your vehicle registration certificate.
2. If the tow ball obscures the vehicle's number plate, it must be removed and only fitted when needed.
3. If the tow ball interferes with the parking sensors, it must be removed and only fitted when needed.
